Condobolin Branch Annual Meeting
The Condobolin Branch invites you to their Annual Meeting, which will be held on Thursday, 22 March after a panel of speakers, commencing at 6.00pm at Condobolin Sports Club.
Invited speakers for the evening include:
Dan Winson - founder of Agrinet (agrinet.com.au), a new company that is working with farmers to fix connectivity problems. They build massive wireless networks that enable fast internet and reliable mobile coverage to the house, sheds and paddock. Their wireless networks can also be used to connect a range of sensors and solar powered high definition video cameras that can be used to improve operations and security.
Amy Jacometti and Rebecca Shepherd - Project Officers National Suicide Prevention Program Lachlan Shire-farmers are a high risk group. What strategies will help?
Kathy Rankin - NSW Farmers Rural Affairs Policy Officer - Farmers role in Chain of Responsibility requirements under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). From 1 July 2018 farmers will need to fulfil their Chain of Responsibility requirements. These new laws will place obligations on farmers, who contract a carrier to transport their grain, produce or livestock, to take steps to support safe and reliable road transport. Note: the laws will only apply to activities that a person or business has responsibility for, and could influence as part of a larger supply chain.
After the Annual Meeting, a short General Meeting will occur to discuss motions for submission to Annual Conference and any general business.

Please note, seven (7) voting members are required to attend to form a quorum and the Branch is entitled to send three (3) delegates to conference.
